Valencia
Having visited Valencia not that long ago we decided to have a swim onboard and a leisurely breakfast before heading for a walk. We were hoping that the shop at the port would be as good as at Barcelona but no such luck, so we headed off for a walk around. We accidentally turned up at a huge expanse and sand and of course sea. Needless to say we were wearing our swimmers on the off chance that we would swim again later in the day but we did not have anything else with us so could not sit on the sand or dry off. I would say that the most annoying thing is that if you do not have much stuff with you on a crowded beach then you cannot see it from a distance and therefore we were lazing in pretty shallow water trying to peer at our clothes and my small handbag. Not the most relaxing swim and by the time we had walked back to the ship we needed another swim. Luckily lots of people had gone on excursions so the water was not yet soup like and there was room to do a little more than bob around. This was a great way to finish our amazing cruise. Will I do it again, most definitely yes!
