Silver Sands of Morar
Silver Sands of Morar

I think we were collected by cars from the train at Spean Bridge but then we were delivered back after the trip to another station in the middle of nowhere, a scary moment when we arrived to an empty platform but not for long. So I did shock my fellow passengers because I went for a quick but refreshing dip in the sea, it had a surprisingly strong current and I did not need to be worried that it would not be deep enough as there was a steep shelf down. I must admit that I did keep my wooly bobble hat on and actually when I came out I warmed up quickly as the water was so cold that even an outside temp of a few degrees was a bonus, also I had a glass of champagne, quelle surprise! It was a lovely beach and the sands really were silvery but not ideal beach weather. Once we rejoined the train we headed on to Fort William where we stopped for another excursion, this time to a forest for a walk and talk about rewilding. I hoped to see a Beaver but no show. Never mind we did see the Harry Potter bridge at Glenfinnan Viaduct for the second time and believe me I have lots of photos!
